Stanley S Ford

President of the Forum

Mr. Stanley S. Ford is a management, and human resource professional whose work is focused on process and organizational development, and regulation regimes. With over 25 years of experience across a myriad of disciplines–including, financial intelligence, international trade-compliance and business management.

Mr. Ford has proven himself a steward of integrity. Prior to joining the Financial Intelligence Agency (FIA) as Director General, Mr. Ford served as the Deputy Managing Director/Administration of the Liberia Petroleum Refining Company (LPRC), Assistant Director, Corporate Affairs, Financial Intelligence Unit of Liberia (FIU), the head of customs compliance at Stratasys Ltd., Minnesota, USA and Assistant Commissioner of Customs, Republic of Liberia. The Director General is best known for this public speaking and host of trainings that he has provided in his many areas of expertise. He has a passion for sharing what he has learned over his long career and mentoring young people along the way. Mr. Ford holds a master’s degree in management with an emphasis in Human Resource Development, a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration, and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing from the National American University, U.S.A. Mr. Ford is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management(SHRM), Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP), Forum for International Trade Training (FITT), Society for International Affairs (SIA), International Compliance Professionals Association (ICPA), and chair of the Board, Association of Liberian Human Resource Professionals (ALHRP).

Abdulkarim Musa (Ph.D)

Executive Secretary of the Forum

Abdulkarim Musa (Ph.D) is the Executive Secretary of the Forum of Financial Intelligence Units (FIUs) of the GIABA Member States (FFIU-GMS). With a wealth of experience in FIU operations and international affairs, Abdulkarim Musa is a seasoned professional in AML/CFT/CPF.

Prior to his current role, The Executive Secretary served as the pioneer Head of International & Liaison Affairs Department of the Nigerian Financial Intelligence Unit (NFIU).

As the Executive Secretary of the Forum of FIUs, Abdulkarim Musa (Ph.D) is responsible for coordinating and facilitating cooperation among member states in the fight against money laundering. He is committed to ensuring that the Forum and its members have the resources and support they need to effectively combat money laundering and terrorist financing in the region.

FFIU-GMS cooperates with other global and local stakeholders in the AML/CFT/CPF network with a view to enhacing the capabilities of our Member FIUs. The Forum also participates regularly at high level conferences concerning the AML/CFT/CPF matters, as well as organize mettings, plenaries and retreats for its Members. .
