West African Forum of FIUs Information Exchange [WAFFIEX]
The West African Forum of FIUs Information Exchange (WAFFIEX) is a secure communications portal that enables Member FIUs to communicate with one another via an encrypted channel, request and share case information, as well as respond to such information requests by uploading vital supporting documents to each request.
The Forum aims to its Member FIUs through capacity building, technical support and assistance in odrder to enable the FIUs be at per with their counterparts.
The Forum seeks to build mutually beneficial and strategic partnerships with releveant global and local AML/CFT stakeholders.
Creation of an efficient and robust Centralized
Crime Database System (CCDS) on ML/TF for West
African countries. The Database will be accessible
to all Member States and stakeholders.
Developing a Training/Capacity Building Action Plan for Member States in line with a Training Needs Assessment Exercise. The expertise of experienced Member States and other relevant stakeholders will be deployed/used to enhance the capacity of Member States in need of assistance.
